The Ajman mainland licence is the low entry option for a company that wants to trade across the UAE. It is issued by the Ajman Department of Economic Development. The cost to start is the licence plus an office, and Ajman office space is often cheaper than Dubai.

Steps
- Pick the activity and legal form.
- Reserve the trade name.
- Get initial approval.
- Sign the memorandum, for an LLC.
- Rent an office in Ajman.
- Pay the fees and receive the licence.
One agency says registration takes 7 to 15 business days.
Documents
For an individual owner: passport, photo, Emirates ID if resident, trade name options and activity details. For a company owner: certificate of incorporation, memorandum, board resolution, shareholder passports, the company's trade licence and a power of attorney if an agent signs.

The free zone side is on Ajman trade licence and the Ajman free zones hub. Free zone packages bundle a desk. Mainland lets you serve the whole UAE.
