The Meydan Free Zone license cost starts at AED 12,500 a year. For that you get company registration, a trade licence with up to 3 activity groups, online application and portal access, and eligibility for a flexi desk. No visa is included. Meydan sits inside Meydan City in Dubai and runs almost everything online, so it suits solo founders, consultants and online sellers who want a licence fast and add visas later.
How much does a Meydan FZ license cost?
Meydan publishes two entry licences and a list of add-on fees on its own site.

The starter price leaves out the residence visa, medical and Emirates ID, office upgrades and later activity changes. The calculator figures are indicative, so treat them as a guide and ask for a written quote. Meydan also offers payment in instalments through Tabby and Tamara.
What do setup agencies charge for Meydan FZ?
Two setup agencies list the zero-visa Meydan licence at AED 12,500, the same as the zone's own price (published prices of 2 agencies, checked ). One of them says its professional fee comes on top.
With one residence visa, agency prices run from about AED 16,350 to AED 20,670 (published prices of 2 setup agencies, checked ). The lower figure is a "from" price whose contents are not itemised. The higher one is government fees with one visa, and the agency adds its own fee. Neither is our price.
What does a Meydan FZ visa cost?
Visas at Meydan are an add-on to the licence, not part of it. The fees Meydan shows are:
- Investor visa: AED 4,000
- Employee visa: AED 3,500
- Medical test and Emirates ID: AED 2,250 per person
- Establishment card: AED 2,000, one time
- Deposit for sponsoring a dependant: AED 3,000
So the Meydan Free Zone cost for a founder with one investor visa on the starter licence is the AED 12,500 licence, the AED 2,000 card, the AED 4,000 visa and AED 2,250 for the medical and ID. What office options does Meydan FZ offer?
The starter licence makes you eligible for a flexi desk, and the Fawri licence needs no office at all. Meydan also leases office space for teams that need a fixed address or more visas. It does not publish office rents on the pages we checked, so price an office with the zone before you commit.
How does Meydan FZ license renewal work?
Meydan licences can run for up to 10 years. The zone says multi-year licences save up to 15% against paying year by year. It does not show a separate renewal fee, so do not assume year two costs the same as year one. Ask Meydan or a partner for the renewal price of your exact licence. Which licence types and company forms does Meydan FZ offer?
Meydan lists more than 2,500 activities. The base licence takes up to 3 activity groups across trading, services, professional and e-commerce work, and each extra activity is AED 1,000. Meydan's materials describe LLC-FZ companies and branches. The research profile also notes that virtual asset activities are possible with VARA approval on top of the Meydan licence.
There is no paid-up capital requirement for the licence. If you want an investor or partner visa, the FAQ asks for a higher share capital, so check the current level with the zone first.
How do you set up a company in Meydan FZ?
Meydan free zone company setup runs in seven steps:
- Pick your activities on meydanfz.ae and check that they fit in 3 groups.
- Choose the starter licence or Fawri.
- Upload passport copies and shareholder details through the online portal.
- Pay the licence fee, in full or through an instalment plan.
- Receive the licence. Meydan says within 24 hours for the starter route and under 60 minutes with Fawri.
- Apply for the establishment card, then visas, medical and Emirates ID.
- Open a bank account.
Meydan's about page says some licences are issued in as little as 20 minutes. The banking step usually takes longer than the licence itself.
What documents does Meydan FZ ask for?

How do Meydan FZ companies open a bank account?

How do I log in to the Meydan Free Zone portal or contact Meydan Free Zone?
Existing Meydan Free Zone companies sign in through the Meydan Free Zone portal. It is the zone's own online channel for company requests after setup.
The zone publishes its own business activity list. Check your exact activity there before you pick a package, because the activity decides the licence type and sometimes the price.
For a question only the zone can answer, such as the status of a file, use the official Meydan Free Zone contact page. We are a directory, not the zone, so we cannot see your portal account.
